We will then come together for our weekly Zoom discussions, which are 1 hour in length. Our meetings for Weeks 1 and 6 are a bit more hands-on and will be 2 hours each.
Class size is intentionally small, with a maximum of 6 couples per class, allowing for plenty of discussion, personalized support, and space for answering questions.

Frequently Asked Questions:
There’s so much information online—can’t I just learn on my own?
You can find a lot of information online—but it can be hard to know what’s trustworthy, current, or relevant to you. One of the biggest benefits of the Evidence Based Birth® Childbirth Class is that we’ve already done the sorting for you. You’ll get clear, accurate, evidence-based information, and you and your partner will be supported and guided through the learning process together—so you can feel confident, informed, and prepared.
Can’t I just rely on my doctors and nurses to guide me during labor and birth?
Your doctors and nurses are an important part of your care team, and their guidance matters. At the same time, not all routine hospital practices reflect the most current evidence, and there can be subtle pressure to follow “the usual way” without fully exploring your options. In this class, you and your partner learn how to understand the evidence, ask informed questions, and work collaboratively with your care team—so you can make decisions that truly align with your values and needs during birth and beyond.
What will I learn in this class that I can actually use during birth?
Most students love learning the full toolkit of comfort measures for labor—things like massage, water immersion, upright positions, acupressure, music, and breathing. Beyond that, you and your partner will explore your preferences together and learn how to communicate your needs and advocate for yourselves during labor. When birth begins, you’ll feel prepared, confident, and supported.
What Past Students Are Saying:
“The walkthrough of labor was extremely helpful today. We both feel, overall, much more prepared and empowered. I thought labor and delivery would just be a horrific experience to get through, but now I’m actually looking forward to it! Thank you so much!!!!”
“It was a wonderful course and we have recommended it to every couple we know who are thinking about getting pregnant. We really appreciate your advice and your patience to answer all of our questions.”
“We REALLY enjoyed your class and your calming, positive presence! You left us feeling more prepared, educated, and empowered to have a healthy labor and birth journey that aligns with our wishes. We can’t thank you enough for sharing your wisdom and experience with us.”
**Note: As an active birth doula, there is a small chance that I would be required to reschedule a session due to being needed at a birth. If necessary, I will do my best to give notice of rescheduling as far in advance as possible and will be flexible in setting a date/time for the rescheduled event.**
